Customer Objective: The client wanted to turn part of an old barn into a high-spec habitable space and connect it to the house.

The Job – November 2018:
The challenge of this project was to ensure the structural integrity of the old building, making sure it was safe, solid and secure. We removed and replaced the roof, using the original tiles, after effectively rebuilding the walls, and installed several steel beams to support the large sliding doors which the plans provided for.

We fulfilled the client’s request that we use as many of the original materials from the old barn as possible, incorporating these into the conversion, and on completion the barn was exactly like the original on the exterior.

Internally, though, the introduction of new Velux windows and large patio doors created a modern, light and bright interior space that we finished off to a high standard. Our team expertly handled all the electrics, plastering and plumbing.
