Customer Objective: The owners of this delightful cottage wanted a spacious, light and airy kitchen in keeping with the character of the building.

Description: A quaint thatched cottage in the village of All Cannings near Devizes received a new kitchen extension.

The Job – August 2019:
The first step in this project was to demolish an old shed that was attached to the side of this charming thatched cottage. Once the coast was clear our team could start laying the foundations and from there we proceeded to completion on schedule and within budget. The client was so pleased with the results he extended the project to include the laying of a patio leading off of the new kitchen extension.

The new kitchen consisted of a brick construction with steel beams, enhanced with high quality wood bi-folding doors and windows. The brickwork was painted white to match in with the rest of the cottage masonry.

KL & Sons Building Services project managed and executed the entire build, including a full kitchen installation with electrics and plumbing. We’re particularly pleased with the roof which was constructed using dark slate tiles sympathetic with the rest of the building, and a carbon fibre resin flat roof.
